We’ve built an entire company culture around helping those in need. Averitt Cares for Kids, our non-profit charitable giving organization, is funded by associate contributions and through company contributions on behalf of our associates. Our Team Up Community Challenge is one of our favorite ways to donate to Averitt Cares for Kids while fostering the giving spirit we’re known for throughout our local communities.

Averitt Associates Combine to Give 5,000+ Hours of Community Service

Averitt Express associates combined to give more than 5,000 hours of community service over the course of 2020 as part of its Team Up Community Challenge. Overall, they served 5,342 hours, with 76 facilities across Averitt’s system helping 118 organizations for efforts including clothing, food and toy drives, disaster relief, mask sewing and donations, litter cleanups and blood donations.

Robert Sims, an Averitt driving associate domiciled in Columbia, SC, is an avid cyclist who keeps rolling whether on his bicycle or in his truck.
“Becoming a professional truck driver was something on my bucket list, but I wanted to be sure I did not jeopardize my health by sitting all day,” Robert says. “I had some pretty traumatic spine injuries and surgery and knew I needed to keep moving to stay healthy and strong.”

St. Jude Highlights the Power of One and Averitt's 30 Year Commitment
