We are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year! In 1971, Gary Sasser purchased a small carrier called Averitt Express. At the time, it had only two associates, three tractors and five trailers. From that beginning, we’ve grown a company that has made a huge impact on the trucking industry and the communities we serve. We’ve built an entire company culture around helping those in need. Averitt Cares for Kids, our non-profit charitable giving organization, is funded by associate contributions and through company contributions on behalf of our associates. Our Team Up Community Challenge is one of our favorite ways to donate to Averitt Cares for Kids while fostering the giving spirit we’re known for throughout our local communities.
