Celebrating National Driver Appreciation Week

Sep 14, 2020 3:11:08 PM

There’s no question that truck drivers have been working harder this year than ever before, making sure that America’s goods have kept moving throughout all the challenges of 2020. While other people have stayed home, our drivers have been on the frontlines to deliver food, medical supplies and other important items to their destinations. As an industry we’ve always looked forward to National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW) to take the time to honor driving professionals for all the hard work they do. Now more than ever, we want to make sure our drivers feel noticed, appreciated, and encouraged. This year’s NTDAW takes place September 13-19, 2020. In appreciation for all you do, we at Averitt Express have some fun things planned that you won’t want to miss.

Some of your favorite nationwide truck stops are offering special deals and giveaways during NTDAW and throughout the month of September too. Let us know which deals and prizes you’re looking forward to the most!

Averitt Express

At Averitt, we’re so excited to host daily giveaways for our drivers. We’ll be giving away some awesome Blue Parrot headsets, Blue Beacon truck washes, Garmin GPS systems, Cintas uniform gift certificates, CB radios, associate reward points and Averitt-branded merchandise. We’ll also be giving away iPad and Galaxy tablets, which are great for staying organized and keep you connected with your friends and family. Feeling hungry? We’ll have boxed lunches available across our network for drivers and associates. As if that wasn’t enough, we’re proud to assign brand new 2021 Freightliner Cascadia tractors to five lucky Averitt drivers! You definitely won’t want to miss celebrating NTDAW with us this year. See more in this video:

Pilot/Flying J

Pilot Flying J stores will celebrate drivers throughout the whole month of September. From September 1-30, they’ll be giving away several great rewards through the Pilot Flying J app. These include free drinks, earning up to four points per gallon when activating Push4Points, and a free JPRO diagnostics test at Pilot Flying J Truck Care service centers. Drivers can also earn automatic shower power after their first 75-gallon fill up in September. This means free showers for the rest of the month. Read all the details here: www.pilotflyingj.com/driver-appreciation/

TA Petro

Truck drivers can get amazing deals with TA Petro through the Trucksmart app from September 14-18. Use the app to book your showers and parking spaces for only half the price. Make sure you check in on September 16 to earn double points on fuel purchases. Not only will TA Petro have these great deals, but drivers can also enter the TA Driver Appreciation Sweepstakes all month long. They’ll be giving away over 70 incredible prizes, including thousands of UltraONE points, a pair of plane tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S., and a choice of an Indian Scout Bobber or Rolex watch. One grand prize winner will get 1,500,000 UltraONE points! To enter, drivers can swipe their UltraONE cards at the pump, truck service stop or any UltraONE kiosk. You can learn all about it here: https://www.ta-petro.com/professional-truck-drivers/driver-appreciation

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores

Throughout the month of September, My Love Rewards members can get great deals on food, snacks, drinks and merchandise. Drivers can also earn up to 5,000 My Love Rewards points (equal to $50) when purchasing certain products during NTDAW. If you’re feeling lucky, enter to win Love’s 4-million-point giveaway! They’ll be giving 1 million My Love Rewards loyalty points to a driver each week during September. Drivers can enter by swiping the My Love Rewards card on qualifying transactions; answering a quick survey on any Mobile to Go or touchscreen located at any sponsoring locations; or via mail-in entry. For more information about Love’s NTDAW rewards and qualifying purchases, visit here: https://www.loves.com/store-promotions/2020-driver-appreciation-promos.

It's going to be a great time of celebrating you, the truck drivers of America, during NTDAW! Thank you for your hard work and for the sacrifices you make to keep the supply chain in motion. Don’t forget to let us know your favorite part of Driver Appreciation Week or if you hear of any appreciation activities to share with your fellow drivers!
